Southminster Memorial Hall
The Memorial Hall was opened in 1933 in memory of the men of Southminster who died in the Great War. It was begun by the local branch of the Royal British Legion and widened into a building for the whole village, and it was opened by Lady Rayleigh.
Nearly a century later it is still doing what it was built to do: providing a hall for the people of Southminster to meet, learn and enjoy themselves in. It is a registered charity, run by trustees drawn from the village.
There are two halls and a committee room available to hire. The larger hall has a full stage with stage extension, stage lighting and a speaker system, and a kitchen area off it; the two halls can be hired together at a reduced rate. Use the booking request page to check availability and ask for a date.

It takes performances, parties, fairs, exercise classes and large community events, and has its own separate entrance and access to the shared toilets.
